Frequently asked questions

Short answers about the game, the money and the device. Anything missing? [email protected].

Is Hitladder free?

Yes. Hitladder is free to download and play, with no forced ads and no subscription. Hitladder Pro is a one-time $6.99 purchase, and cash packs are optional.

What does Pro include?

A sandbox start (choose your starting money and followers), up to five careers at once, poster colors and career stats. It's tied to your Apple ID: on a new phone, open the More tab and tap Restore purchases.

Is there an Android version?

No. Hitladder is an iPhone game (iOS 17 or later). An Android version is not planned at the moment.

Does it work on iPad?

It's built for iPhone. On an iPad it installs and runs as an iPhone app, in a smaller window.

Which countries is it available in?

The United States App Store only, for now.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. The game runs fully offline. Only purchases go through Apple.

Where are my careers saved?

On your iPhone, every week. They're included in your iPhone backup. There's no online account, so deleting the app deletes your careers.

Are the artists, songs, labels or charts real?

No. Everything in Hitladder is fictional, and any resemblance to real people or companies is coincidental.

Is it a rap battle or rhythm game?

No. Hitladder is a career simulation. You never type lyrics or tap to a beat; you make weekly decisions and the simulation plays out the results.

Rapper or singer: what's the difference?

The genre lanes (hip-hop, trap and drill for rappers; pop, R&B, country and Latin for singers) and the performance skill (flow or vocals). The career loop is the same.

Can I buy my way onto the charts?

No. Cash packs add in-game money for studio time, promotion or touring. Ads bring listeners, not followers, and the charts only count organic listeners.

How long does a career take?

A full career is about an hour of play. Every run is different, so careers are meant to be replayed.

Was AI used to make Hitladder?

The code was written with Claude Code, and the event texts were drafted with AI and then edited by hand. There is no AI-generated art or music, and nothing AI runs inside the app.

What is the age rating?

13+ on the App Store.

How do I report a bug or get help?

Email [email protected] with your iPhone model, iOS version and app version (shown at the bottom of the More tab). We read every message.

How do refunds work?

Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
